My predictions for 2006... an all new XB-based Blast with the XB12 stroke for a 600 cc touring-capable thumper. This will probably have dirt tyres (Avon Distanzia Super Moto tyres), skid plate, a luggage rack, higher ground clearance, etc. For first timer motorcyclist, a dirt machine is great to learn on. Maybe very similar to the Suzuki DL650 V-Strom, which is a very good bike, but a single instead of a twin. But the Buell will be much better. My other prediction is a large displacement version to be the new Thunderbolt touring model much like the DL1000 V-Strom. Both would make excellent touring machines since you usually have to go off-road during long exploration trips and both would have more weather protection of course. But the bigger model will have (I’m guessing) a 4" longer wheelbase, ~4.9 gallon fuel capacity and a ~415 lb. dry weight (still lighter than the DL650, but a 1200) with all the extra frame length and guards and stuff. I think the regular XB models will get minor improvements (maybe even cosmetic)with a little more power. Maybe a ~5 HP increase to 97 HP for the 984 and 107 for the 1203. I also predict some different colors too, such as silver, white and an orange model. There might be some new accessories available for the XB models. Well, I can’t wait anyways. Whatever the new models are, they will be awesome. I need a good touring machine to add to my collection.

If you're anywhere close with that Thunderbolt prediction, then I'm in big trouble- I've only made 11 payments on my XB12R...

Whoops... I meant 108 HP for the XB12.

Yeah, I'm thinking I should have held off buying my XB12Scg. Probably going to be some kick arse new model and I'll feel like an idiot!

Don't feel bad, Phantom - I could be saying that for pretty much every other model year in the last 11!

If Buell would release a Blast based streettracker, I'd seriously consider going back into debt for one.

I won't have any regrets about buying my 12Scg. It's the perfect bike for me. Anything longer/taller would be nice but not practical for the terrain I ride on. I like having both feet flat on the ground with a little bend in my knees when I'm on gravel lots. I couldn't do that on any other bike. Besides, if they're really cool, one can always get one next year or the year after etc...

How about a sport-tourer again. I always that the S3T was cool.

Caveman, *MANY* of us want a "new" S3T. But according to Daves, they didn't sell well(and no, I'm not doubting that Dave, just like givin' ya crap about it : ) ).
