I missed this eBay auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4560201921

So I contacted the seller and it turns out they are running a buy on these mirrors until Monday for $40 cheaper.

Here is the web page: http://www.speedzilla.com/mirrors.shtml

Anyone have these? Can someone post pics? I'm new to the Buell scene, so I'm sorry if this is old news.

They look like they have the short stalk. Do you know for sure if they are 04-05 mirrors which have the longer stalk?

Also do you know if the blinkers DOT approved?

I have no idea.

I didn't realize that there were different length stalks.

I doubt the signals are DOT, I've never seen any aftermarket signals that were.

Send them an e-mail, they are pretty quick to respond.

Those are pretty nice. I've found it to be a bit of a pain to find good aftermarket blinkers for the front on the XB. Now, do I want to spend $190, or deal with something that doesn't fit quite right for $10? Hmmmm? I wish money wasn't an issue!

I like those, too. I don't like the price. Group buy?

i'm not sure about each state individually but i know that many states are like michigan and do not require turn signals at all. the good 'ol hand gestures are all that are required here. if you have turn signals its just a bonus. i saw one bike that had the rear turn signals integrated into the passenger footpeg bars. but again i can only truely be sure of michigan.

I use Joker Mirrors.

Stock length is short too, so all you really can see is blind spot area. Unless ya move your shoulder for a quik rear view. Reduced vibrations, good quality.

Knotrider, you asked the guy to give you mirrors, for free, and he didn't reply. Go figure.

So, back to the original topic, has anyone seen these mirrors in person? What/where is Hal's?

I wonder if some of the other stalk mirrors they sell would fit and work. on the x1 or xbs

I want some that have running lights,, I guess I could just wire them up as extra lights. that extra bit of light would be a saftey factor worth the cost. Don't really care if cars in front of me know I turning. Would much rather know that I am there period! Totaled one buell becuase the old lady didn't see me.

Hello everyone,

My name is Dave, and I'm the one offering these mirrors to BadWeb members. As you may have seen, we have kicked in to sponsor the site and also to let you guys in on this offer. It seems that Carveman beat us to the punch.

This offer will close on Monday, July 18th. At that point, the order will be shipped from Italy to us and we will distribute the mirrors to you as soon as possible. The last order got we made held up in customs for a bit and took 4 weeks from the end of the offer, to the time that our customers received their mirrors. I don't expect it to take as long this time around. We need to close this offer on Monday the 18th, as most of Italy is on holiday for the month of August.

These mirrors are top quality, these aren't some cheapo plastic imitation mirrors. The company that produces these mirrors also produces OEM mirrors for many top manufacturers.

I can't be certain on the Firebolt, but some models do require a small hole to be drilled for routing the wires. This hole is not visible, and if you return to OEM mirrors, the hole would still be covered.

We have mirrors to fit most models, if you don't see what you are looking for, please shoot me an e-mail.

These mirrors mounted on this Honda Superhawk are actually the same as the Firebolt mirrors: http://www.speedzilla.com/FAR/hawk7.jpg

These mirrors mounted on this Honda X11 are very similar to the XBS/X1/M2 mirrors:http://www.speedzilla.com/FAR/x11.jpg

Each set of mirrors includes both clear and amber lenses, along with clear and amber bulbs.

Some of you have asked about a group purchase, well this is actually a group purchase. Regular price is $40 higher.

I think I have answered most of the questions that have been posted here or e-mailed to me. Please let me know if I can assist any further.

Thank You & Ride Safe,
Dave

To see the mounted mirrors on a XB9R, look here. It is a Hillbilly-Motors-motors project bike.

Those TrickTape mirrors look good, too. Plus, the price is much better. However, they are Lockhart-Phillips, so I am not sure about the quality. Plus, how can we find out if these mirrors will work on a Firebolt?

Thanks for the info Dave, I'll likely be ordering this weekend.

That Hillbilly-Motors site had the same mirros listed at 168.00 Euro, close to $200 a pair!

I think I've seen those LP mirrors before, and I thought they looked like junk. Anyone seen them?

I don't think anybody answered Firewhirl's question, and I'm wondering too. How do these compare for visibility to the longer stalk 04 and newer mirrors? I see very little other than my elbows as it is...I don't want to make it worse.

Hi folks.

Sorry for the late reply. I left town on short notice to attend a funeral and have limited net access.

I don't have a clear answer for you on the quality of the view with these mirrors. I can assure you that the quality of the mirrors is top notch, and the manufacturer specifys these mirrors as Buell specific. In my experience, they don't specify mirrors for a specific model unless they at least closely match the OEM mirror dimensions.

Here's Hal's Race replica with the turn signals in the mirrors. They are certainly shorter than the stock ones.
