I put the Crossroads bars on my cityx yesterday and when I slid the forks back up I didn't put them in the same spot, I moved them slightly up a little. Later on when I was washing the bike I noticed the snap ring that is around the forks at the point where it was under the top triple clamp.
Now it is slightly exposed, just under the triple clamp. Is this alright or do I need to lower the forks down a tad?
I put the forks even with the bottom line that it on the top of the fork (actually one is about a 32nd off).

As long as the forks themselves are even your fine. That snapring keeps you from going too far down the forks with the triple which can lead to very adverse handling. That is the voice of experience talking btw.

One side is barely off, and I mean by half the width of the line.
