I PLAN ON INSTALLING THE NEW FORCE EXHAUST SYSTEM ON MY BIKE, XB9S 03. What are the best setting for tuning-or is getting someone's dyno my best bet. Any help would be much appreciated.

Should I go with the PCIII instead of the TFI. also is there a need for the BUELL ECM for the mod. I hope not. My pockets are a little thin after buying the USEFORCE exhaust. Once again any suggestions are welcomed. I just like to get it right the first time-turn the key and go!

It won't run very well at all with out some sort of tuning. I'd recommend the Power Commander w/ the optional O2 sensor. You will need to remove a good deal of fuel at about 2500 RPM's, and add fuel everywhere else.

M1COMBAT: "You will need to remove a good deal of fuel at about 2500 RPM's." I am new at this mod stuff, assuming your talking adjustments to the box. Bottomline, POWER Commander over TFI. right.

Yeah, for the Force exhaust...

See if you can get a map from Misato...

M1Combat: Thanks for the tips. I plan to install late July-early August sometime. I found a tuner I believe I can trust. A buddy at work who draggs races on the "rice burners", but of course he has never worked on BUELLs.

Question:

Where do you install the O2 sensor? I am assuming a whole needs to drilled in the USEFORCE pipe to install a O2 sensor?

I have an 03xb9r with the k&n, stock ecm, force pipe, o2 sensor and the power commander. I have a good map I'll post up.

Pipe is tapped for o2 already. is yours not?

Johnk3: Thanks for the feed back, yes my pipe does have a whole already, freakin newbie mistake.

Who installed your pipe and PC? Any problems with the install? How long have you had this configuration?

I am planning on the TFI box from DEBOCK and useing the stock O2 sensor. Set-up recommended by USEFORCE folks.

i did the pipe and pc3, install of both is very easy, couple hours. I've been riding like this now for about a month and the bike is much more rideable than when I had the TFI. I might have tried to keep the TFI if more people knew how to tune it, but since the pc3 is the de facto unit out there I went that route. Who at force told you to go that route? Johnny told me the PC3 and the hi-po o2 sensor was the way to go.

Johnk3: George explained that was the set-up of the bike they had at FORCE.

How did you get to the pipe toward the rear of the bike? Can you provide a few step by step instructions, just to get me and my tuner started. I really like to save a buck and do the work myself. My partner at works and races bikes, but never operated on the BUELL. A little help would be nice.

The pipe likes somewhat difficult to get to. Is it a must that you use the hi-po O2 sensor?

Did you really increase HP from the change. Also do you have "turn-key" reliability?

Lastly the link you provided, is that the read out with the useforce pipe?

By the way your, ride looks tight with the USEFORCE pipe.

M1Combat any thoughts or helpful hints for installing the USEFORCE system? Be nice to see a pic of your ride as well.

I rotated the engine down. It's very easy to do. Put the bike on a stand. put a jack under the engine. loosen rear wheel. Remove airbox and base. loosen coil. remove screws holding clutch cable to v frame. remove front belt cover. loosen and remove tensioner. remove v frame bolts. remove front and center tie bar. lower jack until you can get the socket onto the header nuts.

If you are using the force pipe, use the power commander and the hi-po o2 sensor (Bosch part # B15716). Everyone with a PC3 and the force is is happy. I know of a few people who tried the TFI and the results weren't that good.

The link is with the force pipe before and after tuning the PC3. I can really feel a difference in the way the bike rides, the power delivery is strong all the way to redline.

Anyone have problems with the rubber mounts for the pipe melting? I've replaced them with some black rubber muffler hanger because the red ones melted away.
