Hey everyone im in the process of swaping my tail to the R tail and will probaly be looking to upgrade the seat. I had the corbin on the S but was wondering how the buell touring seat stacks up against it for the R, concidering the seat is about half the price.

I don't have my seat broken in yet, but I've been very impressed with the workmanship and materials in my corbin. (ordered it from American Sport Bike) If I remember correctly Al has the seats he orders built a bit differently(?). I haven't seen the Buell touring seat for the front, although I think I do have the one for the rear (Dig the firebolt stitched into the seat). I picked that up cheap on ebay. Once again, well made, nice stitching and materials, but still a step down from Corbin quality IMO

edit...The rear seat is not the touring seat, it is the upgraded rear seat. Brian

I have the Buell Touring seat, but not a Corbin. I have had Crobin's in the past, and while their service SUCKS, and their seats are usually much heavier, they do suit my butt.

The Touring Seat is okay, it is more comfortable than stock, but I felt like I was sitting about an inch higher, and that felt odd. Also it is harder to mount. Bending the thin material of the std seat in order to get the mounting screws in is pretty easy. Not so when there is al that additional foam involved, the thing does not want to bend.
