Dude, Post some pics! It looks sweet, but mostly obscured by the chicks in your previous post.

I'm considering the full fairing, and would like to see as many as possible.

Are the CHT/Oil temps any different? Does it pick up any speed on the top end? I'm sure it smoothes out a bunch. Where did ya get it?

^^^^The Black is AWESOME. I was about to flame this idea, but after seeing the black I almost wonder if all XB 'R's' should have been done this way. I would of helped Buell differentiate the market a bit better.
Does it help a lot with wind buffeting??? Overall...Sweet.

Lucas-

Thanks. How long have you had this setup? Happy with it? I guess you used the typical brackets, what's your opinion on the way it's mounted? Is it quality stuff?

Did you modify the oil cooler? Feel free to give us a general impression of the whole procedure.

Thanks.

here's my bike,

and another Hal's special,

I don't currently have pics of my Brother's
(diablomichael) bike (xb9r) or our race bike
(xb12r) but they are also fully faired. I'm
sure either He or I will be able to post pics
of those soon.

Santacruzmtman the only thing that I have noticed with the fairing is a high speed (excess of 100) the front seems to get a little light. All that I have to do to eliminate that is to lean a little bit further forward and it goes away.

I been having my kit for about 4 months now and I love the looks of the kit. I need to upgrade the oil cooler soon cause I find it is running hot in Louisiana. It can probably stay stock but since I work on my bike and run parts at a Harley shop I Need to do it for a piece of mind.

I have used the mounting kit from Hals and I also modified a couple brackets for the roll pan since on the race kit it is designed to hang. I have posted pics somewhere on here showing how that was done.

I noticed since I put about 5000 miles on my bike with that kit, in some of the stress points I do have a couple hairline cracks in it. Also when my painter was painting the kit he filled in more on the inside so it would make it stronger. Dont know how that would have been if he didnt do that.

Overall I am happy with my kit and the service I got from Hals. I can justify the money it took to get the fairing kit. I will be purchasing my oil cooler and air duct from Racingmotorcycles.com and Rich helped me out alot with information on that.

The Hal's race replica was still on the show room floor about a month ago when I was up there. I bought the previous version with 2k miles on it from a local rider up there. The new one doesn't have the motor mods mine does, I don't think. I believe the intent was more show than go. That said, I would be more likely to embark on a long trip with a motor that is not as heavily modified as mine is. It all depends on what you are after.

And yeah, It looks HOT!

hal's PA is the only distributor for the shark skinz fairings. Be warned, they are not cheap.

http://www.halspa.com/ShopByBikeDetails.asp?B=BUELL

they list at $895 without the mounting kit. It does not use stock mounts so be prepared.

I am not affiliated with Hal's (except as a customer) and this is for informational purposes only. I profit from this in no way.

Diablobrian - I got the undertail / Lights from American Sport Bikes. It's listed in the XB12 Body / Carbon Fiber section and it is "Under Seat Panel".

I would post the link, but I can not figure out how to do that. Too complicated for me I guess.

What is that? Some kind of IT manager humor?

I don't get it, but I'm only a user.
