i have around 2,500 mi. on my xb9r with the race kit since about 500 mi. I been having trouble with it cutting out like it wants to shut off in the first couple minutes of riding. after that it gets better but still isnt like it was. any ideas?

also when i started it up after its been sitting for a while sometimes i have to start it twice because it does shut off and seems to idle low (less than 1000 rpm) but idle seem fine after I have been riding for a little while.

i would get the tps reset. I had similar problems when I installed a new ecm. my rpms would also hang around 2000 sometimes when coming to a stop. the tps reset cleared that up.

the dealer should have done that when they installed the race kit right? Ive had the race kit in and havent modified anything since the fall that should not need reset should it.

Sounds like it needs professional diagnosing to me. Could be any number of things in from intake manifold leak to malfunctioning DDFI sensors to chaffed wires to poor electrical connection.

One question, what if anything have you changed or done on the bike since it was last running well?

hows the idle rpm at operating temp? You may need to bump it up a c-hair.
Otherwise your receipt for the service should probably state the tps reset.
