Nice Jeep too .... what is it .... about 70's vintage CJ-5 ??? Used to have a 79 CJ-7 and loved it ... also the fishing rods ... NICE ... mine was looking like yours last weekend .. though was using the Pitbulls I bought from Daves.... enjoy the new tires and keep it easy on them for the first few miles ......

Odie,

Is that stand low enough to slide under the bike when on the sidestand? If so, where did you buy it?

Spatten1, I bought it at The Evil Empire (Walmart). It was around $89 I think maybe 3 years ago. Same as my friends $175 Craftsman. Just no expensive Craftsman stickers! I need to trim down the points on my adapter and it will slide right under. I just stand the bike up and slide it under now. In fact, I think I'll do that now since I need to change my oil today! Later, Odie

Nice, I'll have to get one, if Wallmart has not put that supplier out of business yet.

Walmart - we have to keep our prices low, so people we put out of business can afford our products..

Odie,
How do you strap the bike down? I have the same type jack i got at Kragen for 49.99 and was thinking of a way to use it with the pipe jacking points. That adapter is what i need to build.

Thanks
Chuck

Norcal, if you look at the left side of the jack you will see three hoops for tiedowns. I use them on one side and I put a strap on the jack support on the other side. Plenty stable. Actually I have jacked it up and not strapped it at all if the kids aren't around. Stays put if you aren't moving anything too much. If you need some help with the adapter let me know. Made it out of scrap wood I had sitting here. Some have cut it to fit the shape of the pipe which I will do eventually since I always have a cut-off end of a pipe on the floor of the shop. Odie

Another point....if your jack is too tall with an adapter on it you can just wheel the bike up on two pieces of scrap wood to get it a little bit higher and everything slides right under....Odie

Jessicasdad,
sorry, I posted and then took a spontaneous canoe trip down one of our rivers to smallmouth fish. Just returned today. The jeep is a 1980 CJ5, V8. Full roll cage with a 9,000 lb. Warren winch. It gets me to the rivers. I have owned it for 12 years.

Track95Ker,
I used a Pit Bull stand first and took off the rear tire. Then with the pit bull in place used the lift under the muffler to take off the front.

I am about to put the tires back on as soon as I leave the computer. I had to take the tires to the next county to have the Metzler's mounted and balanced. That's where I ran into my ole river running buddy and Robin and I hurried home and loaded the canoe and off we went.....

Oh yeah, caught a bunch of smallmouth.

Eddie and Robin

Jessicasdad,

The fishing rods, The one's hanging on the wall are just a few. I have 10 leaning against the wall just out of sight. Just returned from Canada on Monday and have not had time to put them up.
Now that was a great trip. Robin and I caught a bunch of big smallmouth. We went to Zups on Lac La Croix. What a trip.

Might be too late since you've bought the bike, but here is a good article:
