i am not so sure the fuel injection system was designed to accomodate nitrous oxide.

Be careful, I've seen very bad things with NOS.

I haven’t had time to machine the bottle clamps. I should have it together
in the next couple weeks. Kit comes with 10, 20 ,30, 40 hp nozzles.
It will be a complete bolt-on kit.

A wetNOS system will work fine since the nozzles mix the fuel with the NOS at the same time instead of trying to use the stock FI by itself. I wouldn't think of running a a dryNOS system since there is no real way to adjust the fuel pressure like the import cars do.

I heard someone like edelbrock is working on a kit for buells. I do intend on getting a wet kit after someone develops one.

Nitrous Express produces a wet system for EFI bikes. Very good atomozation of the fuel with NX nozzels. Far superior to NOS.

(just my opinion)

OH wow! I'm gonna start saving now.
I can picture it now. cruising next to a rice burner, give him the nod, and away I go with the front tire hovering, with him staring at my tail in surprise.

Here's a link to some of the components that will be used in the kit. www.coldfusionnitrous.net/snow.html
A 1.2 pound bottle will be mounted with CNC machined billet clamps on the frame bar behind the oil cooler. I'll post pics as soon a it's completed.

1.2lbs??...any chance of getting the bigger bottle and usein the pass peg mounts? Are you gonna go with the WOT switch as the "armin switch" and the horn for the "spray"?? Id love to help out with some testing....i have all the dyno time i want and i can even do some 1/4mile passes at the strip...let me know

How about useing the highbeam flashing switch to activate? That way you shut it down when shifting. If you use horn button you might forget to let off in the thrill of the moment. Also the horn is important on street.

Good idea XB9er.
But I thought that's why you wire it up for WOT. You wont be holding WOT while shifting.

You can use either switch you want, horn or head light.
The kit comes with a switch that can be mounted to work off the throttle body linkage
so it will only spray at wide open throttle.
I can sell you the kit with a 2lbs bottle or you could just buy the kit in this link.
www.coldfusionnitrous.net/snow.html
I went with the 1.2 lbs bottle because it will fit nice a neat in the area behind the oil cooler, with the supplied billet clamps that will come with my kit. I’ll be using a single
straight nozzle, mounted in the nipple on the filter lid with a billet bracket. I decided on this configuration because it will be easy to install, want hurt performance when not being used, and can be taking off before a trip to the dealer, if you have a spare air box cover.

You could buy the kit in the link above and configure it any way you like.
I see no need to run two nozzles in the intake runners for a 20 hp shot.
And I think the nozzles positioned it the intake runners would hurt the bikes
performance when the nitrous is not being used.

Norris: Let me know when you get some pics up, and how much $$$? 20hp that warranty will never see sounds interesting.
And no need for any other EFI alterations?

I don't mean to undermine Norris or anyone else out there that makes a Nitrous kit for motorcycles, merely provide an alternative for those of you contemplating laughing gas on your Buell. There is a very good DIY resource on the web for putting together your own system for a fraction of the cost of many of the prepackaged systems out there. Mind you, it is all your responsibility, YMMV, blah, blah, blah, you're taking your life in your own hands... Anyway: http://www.diy-nitrous.fsnet.co.uk/

Let me see if I am understanding this right. NOS won't make you go faster than 145mph, but it will get you to 145mph faster?

I'll try to get it finished up in the next couple weeks and get some pictures and the kit price figured out.

On my bike I'll be using a MSD RPM Activated Window Switch, to turn it on and off before it hits the rev limit.
http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?Ntt=nitrous&Ntk=KeywordSearch&DDS=1&se archinresults=false&N=0&target=egnsearch.asp

So the following will have to be true before the nitrous will spray: horn button depressed, wot, 4000 to 6800 rpms. If any of the above is false, no juice. I was told it would be bad on the motor to be spraying when you hit the rev limiter, so I decided to spend the extra money. This is not necessary, just a safety feature.

But if you want one, you'll have to purchase it separately.

I hope to offer the kit for under $600.00.
This will be a complete high quality wet kit system, all mounting hardware included.
Nice looking billet bottle mounting brackets. Braided NOS line, anodized fittings.
It will add to the bikes appearance, not take away from it. Quality kits like this usually cost 8 to 9 hundred bucks.

If you looking for the cheapest way to spray, and willing to take a chance
of blowing the motor from a lean fuel condition. Check out the link below $229.00

Tatsu: G force (acceleration), not top speed. That's what's important to me anyway

Tatsu.....assuming you keep your bike geared for a 145 mph terminal speed. With the nos you will have the hp to pull taller gearing....assuming you have a chain drive and can alter your final drive ratio cheaply and easily. and top speed is your thing. That is until the bottle goes dry.
