I'm stuck in East L.A.(Lower Alabama) and no one here carries Mobile V-twin. Any suggestions for finding the best price online? What about a filter, Mobile or the stock one?

I can get the H.D. 20W50 syn. and stock filter but I'm a Mobile fan. I'm gonna go with the gear oil change too as soon as I get my service manual.

Go with regular mobil-1 in the engine and mobil-1 gear oil in the trans.

I plan on going with the HD syn cause it's very available. There's a HD/Buell shop within 25 miles of where I live & very close to where I work. I won't get service or parts there but I will buy oil & filters from them. It's a convenience thing and a "I don't want a warranty loophole issue from HD/Buell" thing. I still don't think it matters which oil you use. All the ones discussed on this board are very good. I think how often you change your oil is a thousand times more important than which brand of oil you use.

no loophole exists...if they (manufacturer) don't provide the oil, they can't void your warranty because you used another brand. you are exactly correct about the intervals...if you do your changes KEEP THE RECEIPTS!!!!

Order your filters from Dave S at Appleton HD. You get 10 percent off just being part of this forum. Just send him a PM or call him but he's gone till this Tuesday (06/07).
