I have a '03 Lighting XB9S, and I need a seat that is more comfortable. I need one that is comfortable for the passenger too(wife wants to start riding with me). Also I need some advice on riding two-up. Thanks for the help!

XB9S is not a very comfortable two up ride. I removed my bitch pegs and the problem was solved. As for the seat, I just swapped someone for a cityX seat and I love it, the XB9SX seat is way more comfortable and I don't drag my feet anymore, as it's a bit higher than the stocker.

I switched to the Buell Streetfighter seat and that was a BIG improvement over the stock XB9S seat!

I'm still considering a Corbin. I've heard that it's even more comfortable after the break-in period.

I don't have any advise for two-up. I took my brackets/pegs off as well.

I switched to the street fighter seat, very comfortable and a bit lower than stock. Don't know what to tell you about 2 up. I have never ridden on the back of my 9S.

I purchased the Buell Streetfighter seat after the original seat caused my rearend to go on strike. Major improvement over stock.

I have met two couples riding two-up on XB's. The passengers, both young ladies, were small, therefore, their rear-ends fit the seat. And lovely rear-ends they were too! Both bikes had aftermarket seats... If I remember correctly, one was a Streetfighter and the other was a Corbin. The Streetfighter "seemed" to have a tiny bit more seat for the passenger. I asked them if they were "comfortable" riding on the back. Both claimed it was about the same as their mens "other" previous bikes... namely Japanese sportbikes... so they said they could handle it.

If your rear-end is that small, it doesn't matter. If your rear-end is that big, then you'll swallow the passenger seat... which is why I haven't tried to sit there.

Anybody have a stock City X seat they want to sell or trade me? I have an 03XB9S and the seat is way too low and short for my long arms and legs. I will pay shipping and any other costs for it. Thanks.

Your choices are limited...
Corbin Gunfighter and Buell Street Fighter. I'm waiting on my Corbin 2-3 week processing. I chose Corbin because they have dozens of styles of leather/vynal to choose from, making it unique!

If you go through American Sportbike for the Corbin seat, they have a version that is more passenger friendly. Cost is the same $219 plus shipping.

I traded with KDAN
he is tall
I am short
So the swap worked perfectly.

Thanks for the help. My wife and I both are smaller people. So, I think we can make something work. Which she does not plan to ride with me alot.
I love having a place I can go to for advice!

you should try a corbin seat. i had them make the seat for my xb9r and it is a huge improvement over the stock seat. the custom shaping makes the riding position much more comfortable.
