If I swap back to the stock ecm ,is a TPS reset required ?
I have found that the 9S lost a significant amount of low end snap/response after the race ecm & tps reset was done.

No you "shouldn't" the stock ECM will retain the TPS setting. I just am not certain how long a shelved ECM will retain its memory for. I know I have had the ECM unplugged for 2 months from a battery and it worked just fine.

I think the ECM will keep its memory, and if the actual TPS voltage has not changed due to wear of the physical components you should be fine. I bought a used race ecm and it ran fairly well, better after the reset, but just having a number in the right range made it very drivable.

No tps reset required.

But back to what is more important: you should NOT loose ANY power with the race ecm. As a matter of fact, you should gain some. If you do loose power, then something is wrong IMO. I say have that fixed instead of going back to the stock ecm.

My 2 cents,
Ingemar.
