Jose,
My band had that weekend off and I was really looking forward to riding with you guys again. Minor medical issue caused me the 8am ride and race. Maybe next time, is Richmond next?

well there was a guy who had to get helicoptered out on saturday i think it was. i wasn't there for that i could only make it down Monday. On monday Dave Watson highsided and got hit by another bike. I talked to his mechanic and they think he broke his pelvis but they weren't sure. He is a salesman for iron valley hd. he sold me and my dad both our bikes and is always extremely helpful.

Hmmm.. Let's see.. Tony, David or Bill? I think those are the three that went down in the big turn ten wreck.. If I remember (and I wasn't taking notes) Tony and Dave walked off the track. Bill was hurt pretty bad and had to be taken to the hospital. Later, when I'm home I'll double check the pics.. I can go by bike make or even better.. number..

hey jose great pict i even see my self except for young kens head is in my way the three that wrecked in turn ten was tony of edison hd/b on in road cone orange 12r pictured above, dave of iron valley and whites on the on the # 90 who was staged to our left and davenport on his sv650 was to our right, you can kind of see my head behind 11x now renamed el pepe. any way as i understand it dave high sided inside 10 at which point davenport ran him over injuring his pelvic bone i think i didn't get an update yet, then anthony couldn't avoid the collision squared up and hit another bike head on that was a very unfortunate accident this was during fusa thunder bike finals.
although there is another incredible story from the weekend of arthur diaz (and the #1 OF CLASSIC AND SCHAFFERS HD/B thanks to the support of the sponser's.) coming into turn five during it was either thunder bike or light weight gp the front end washed on art causing him to high side and destroy the bike el toro. after getting the bike back from the rescue truck and me hauling art across the track to the pits on the pass seat of my 9r we decided we were down but not out we took the motor out of the wrecked bike salvaging what we could of el toro and in about 4 hours totally rebuilt the entire bike with chassi from our backup bike pepe that wasn't running. tony of edison let art use his bike to race what he had left that day on his 12r so we white duct taped and made a number plate and black duct tape for the 1 and of he went, thanks to everyone that helped and offered support and all the guys at edison hd/b it was nice to meet and work with you good luck at loudon on fathers day tony and pete.
ill see if i can find some pics of this weekend.

Tony hit that bike hard, I can go take a look again and later today let you know whos it was if you need to know. And went airborne. Bill (Davenport) slid bodily into in the kitty litter with Daves' bike coming to rest just behind him (I don't think it hit him in the gravel)and Tony flew over both bike and rider to land a few yards away (his bike just missed Bill who appeared to be under it's flight path as it went end over end. Dave had slid to the left of the corner (gravel pit/kitty litter) and just laid there obviously in pain. Good thing Bill is a MD and as soon as he got up and got his feet back under him, so to speak, went to check on Dave.

Now, two last notes.
As soon as I get confirmation from Art that he's getting the emails + attachments from me, I'll be sending him the full set of pictures (including some of he and his crew).

And if anyone has a good program for fitting a 3meg picture onto the BadWeb.. please let me know..
I think the great resolution has killed my ability to crush it small enough to post here..

Ill see you guys for the 02-03JUL05 weekend. I have been down to Summit point which is actually closer to me then Loudon. I really liked the track and Mid Atlantic Region racers. I liked the whole track except for the tight left that brings you into the carousel. I think thats the turn you guys are talking about. I warned a guy a few blocks from house before he went down there last year that the concrete pad in that turn is dangerous, I only found one line through that turn that didnt upset the bike. He went down on his R6 and took a Helicopter ride also... Broken Tibia i think.
Aside from that the climb out of the carousel is a blast!!!

I want to say Thanks to everyone who was at Summit Point and supported Anthony and I and the whole HD/Buell of Edison team through our first race weekend of the season.

Just so everyone knows, Anthony is doing OK after his big crash. He is still a bit sore but is back to work and rebuilding his bike for our next race at Loudon, NH in 13 days.

Peter (Blublak), your pictures of the accident are incredible. Do you mind if I post a link to them so others can check them out?

If anyone is going to be up in Laconia for bike week, Anthony and I are racing in the team challenge event on June 16 and then three sprint races on June 17. Look for the Harley of Edison truck in the pits and stop by. We love the support!

Jan, I sent a whole bunch of shots to Art, not sure what he's going to do with them. But, if your looking for some of your own (or specific ones) just drop me a line and I'll get them out to you.

Pete, Good to hear Anthony's doing better.. A lot of work needed on the bike to be ready to run though. And no, if you have them up at a site, go ahead and link them for everyone to see. I've got Jnance helping to shrink some down (I took a lot of pictures) and hopefully they will get posted soon enough. Just like Drfuyutsuki did, please just credit them to me (in case SI or one of the Moto mags calls and wants to use them..$ching$ching$ LOL)

Here are a bunch of pics from the Summit Point race weekend. Most of them are of Anthony and I and the rest of the HD/Buell of Edison gang in our pit area. I ride the XB9R painted gray with the orange frame. Anthony rides the bright orange XB12R with the dark gray frame. Unfortunately it is in pieces now!

Go all the way to the last several pics and you will find the ones of Anthony's big crash in turn 10. Thanks again to Peter Migala(Blublac) for the awesome shots!!

I was racing my SV650 at Summit. I had my sister video my races. She got Art Diaz's crash on video. Fortunately everybody avoided the cartwheeling bike, but one guy rearended Bill Davenport pretty hard in the process giving him a high-mount exhaust.
