I left work for lunch today and cruise down to the local Sonic for a burger. I catch a red light and a minivan pulls up on my 3. The driver honks and I think, great...did I cut this guy off and is he loadin' the Glock? I usually ignore the occasional disgruntled, ranting cager but for some reason I had to glance over. He hollers out the window, "Hey, nice helmet!!" Wierd right? I think, all right buddy and go to turn around and I hear him ask if I want a new one. Now my helmet is a seven year old black Fulmer with many battle scars so I turn back around and shout, "Sure, you got a freebie!!" He pointsto the side of the road gesturing for me to follow. Turns out we were about a block from his house and when we pulled up he openned up his garage door to display at least 100 brand new Fulmer helmets. The guy is the regional sales man for Fulmer and says that all the helmets are demos. He noticed that I was wearing a well worn Fulmer and decided that he would hook me up. He let me take my pick of the lot, FREE!!! I'll be taking the Krylon to it this weekend since the blue color doesn't exactly match my CityX. I'll post pics when I'm done. | ||

Of course, my first reaction is, "Do I really want to wear a demo helmet?". What exactly is a "demo" helmet anyway? I thought any helmet in the showroom could qualify as a demo since anyone could demo it on their noggin. So the fact that he's giving them away would make me a little leary, even if I was a loyal customer. OK, enough of my cynicism, congrats on the new lid and post some pics up of it after the spray job!! Man, if they are for real and not damaged, you just scored my friend!! | ||
