I doubt that i will be missed here but i thought, what the heck i will just let everyone here know that i decided to sell my bike yesterday and bought a new one. I won't bother telling what kind because you guys would just flame me to a crisp and it would all be a wasted effort to tell me i made a bad move.

FYI i got 5400 out of it from a dealer and it was an 2003 White Firebolt with 7357 Miles on it and virtually flawless as far as the body and frame and all that goes.

Its been fun grumbling with you guys.

Where ever you go and whatever you ride, doesn't bother me.
The XB is unique in every way, nothing can take away those memories..
So enjoy your new machine and ride safe.

Hey it dosen't matter what you ride as long as you ride, some of the people on this board need to remember that.

Hope you enjoy this bike as much as you did your Buell if not more.

Compared to other boards I have participated in and observed, there is very little flaming going on here. I'm sorry that you feel so shut out. I wish you well, and has been said before, it's not what you ride, as long as you ride. Keep the shiny side up!

To echo Brian, It don't matter what two wheels you got under you as long as you keep 'em under you. Ride safe and live long.

Come on out of the closet Jeremy...tell us your secret...whatdaya get?

If it makes you feel better and easier to talk about it, I have two rice burners too, but three quad cams (2 Sportys and the Buell). I enjoy each for what they are...each different in their own way...even the Sportys...one rigid and one rubber mount...

I have been ridin' for over 46 years now, and I consider anyone on two wheels a bro...even if they don't wave back at me...their choice...

I'll ride 'em until I die, then give my toys to my boys...Cyko Bob

ok here is your one hint:

Also, Dont take my sale of the Buell the wrong way. I loved that bike but i have had too many dreams of riding Japaneese I4's for over 20 years now. I bought the Buell because i knew it would be the best sport bike to build riding skills and confidence before i got on a pissed off Mosquito.

Nice. I'm trying to figure out how to get those front forks on my SV1000 naked. The Buell already has the great Showa's on it.

Thanks, I had 2 options.....a 600 or a litre bike. Since i do so desire to live at least another 20 years i took the 600 and the only 600 i would ever ride is the Suzuki. Oh yes, and it had to be yellow. I have only got 110 miles on this bike so far so i havent made it past about 7500 rpm's but i do anxiously await tapping out the limiter at least once in the near future. Other than that i am probably the most sane rider on a Japanese Rocket in this valley.

Oh yeah, I also bought my wife a Suzuki Boulevard and i now pay only $167/Month for two bikes rather than 150 for one buell.

Jeremy, very nice indeed! Congrats!! Sleeper, most guys that are upgrading the forks on SV's (I also have an 03 SV1KS) are doing the direct swap with the Gixxer 1K forks. Supposedly makes a huge difference in feel. I know one of the reasons I bought the Buell was because the SV just didn't feel planted at speed. The Buell handles SOOOOO much better out of the box than the SV.

FI_billy,
The GSX-R forks will bolt directly on a SV1000 with minor or no fabrications? I agree with you about the SV handling. Mine tends to "float" around somewhat and could stand better forks. I have tuned and tried dozens of combinations for rebound, compression and damping, none of which have results in a positive feel for me.

Nice bike! The only thing i don`t like about my gxer is the riding position. I lowered the footpegs and have handle bar risers on my 03 1K.
Now i can ride all day, before the mods i was in pain after 100 miles.

Nice bike, Bro. The last bike I had before my 9R was a Gixxer 1100. Great bike, but the new 600s have more arse than my old 1100 had. Congrats. You'll be really happy with it.

Jeremy, that's nice...I sat on a couple of the Suzuki's at the last couple of bike shows and would have to change the bars or something myself. For my size, it was a long stretch to the low bars... I've been thinking my next bike would be an DR400S, not the SM... For plunking around trails and dirt roads... My only concern is that they are SO tall... I sat on one at the last bike show and had to use the the footpeg to get on the thing, with it on the kickstand of course...
Of course, this would be in addition to my buell...

Nice! Enjoy it Jeremy (I know you will!)

Kinda funny though, you thought you were gonna get flamed hard for going to the IL4 darkside. I'm glad to see you didn't.

And by the way, everyone knows that black is the fastest color. You'll be fine cuz you do have some black stripes!

Geeze i really did think that i was going to the darkside....are you sure you guys even own Buells? Just Kidding. By the way I do have tow bikes to ride. They are both Suzuki's though. As far as which color goes faster. Its always been yellow in my mind but i do have a good appreciation for anything black coming up on my . Whomever said i should have bought an R6...well i do like that bike but i have always been a Suzuki fan, and yeah it may be about 2.5 mph faster in the top end but you know....if i even reach the top end on this Suzuki I probably deserve to lose my license anyways so either bikes would probably be just as fun to ride for me.

Thanks for not flaming me guys and i will still be frequenting this site because it is a huge part of my everyday work life.

Enjoy your Buells,R1's,Gixxers,Sv's and whatever else 2 wheels you have because if you don't someone else will for you.

J,

This isn't one of those petulant ricer only boards, we love all bikes, I own two pieces of American iron /alloy and two Japanese ..they are all good because they have two wheels.

BTW I was thinking about the GSXR 750 as a mid point between the 600 and the 1000 as I have same desire for longevity as you, I am sure I would kill myself on a 1000 of any stripe.

i wanted to get the 750 but i also wanted it at the 600 price and insurance rate so i stuck with the 600. I am rapidly finding out that an JiL4 600 is more than enough juice for a 180lbs. person like myself.

I agree...the Gixxer 750 is on my short list of dream bikes to have. I'll have one some day.

Jeremy...I personally don't think that an IL4 is the darkside...I just know others here do.
