Well, with only 1100 miles left to go before my 10K I have a tool question. (I know, your all tired of me by now)

Anyways, I went to the local HD dealer to get the parts for this service and asked about the Fork pipe holder and Spring compression tool. Well, the holder was $79 and I didn't bother to find out how much the compression tool is. Way to much money. So, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for alternative setups or tools to do this job?

Clamp your table vice to the side of the table, and use a pair of softjaw pipe holders. The compression tool itself can be gotten from Racetech or Traxxion Dynamics. PRice will run you around $80+/-

I use cush-a-clamps from unistrut to hold the fork tubes and I use the Traxxion Dynamics spring compression tool.
