I've been having issues with the electrical system on my 9R. Sometimes before starting the bike, the instruments will turn off and come back on like they are losing power. My turn signal flasher just failed. And, when riding at night I notice that my lights are dimming out, slowly getting bright again, then dimming again. I'm lost. Any ideas?

Check your fuses and battery connections. Make certain all are tight. Report back after that.

Good answer.....NOT!

Could be a faulty ground. Do you have the service manual? It has all the wiring schematics in it. Make sure battery terminals are tight on both ends. Has the bike ever been service by a dealership?

I've seen my lights (xb9sx) do that at night as well when my battery cable is not snug.

The flasher probably just died.
