pretty tool paths. Gotta love that billet aluminum. I'm assuming it's o-ring sealed?

Norris, very clean design. Is that a vent hole on the back of the main body? It looks like it's at the top of the can when it's mounted on the bike.

A Catchcan is... When you go at extreme highways speeds and you suck all them tiny insects that fly around near your air intake and at a latter date you drain their guts, and inners out into a suitable waste can ..Hope that helps...

Vent or filter is the top hose, breather hose exits the back, drain is the valve on the bottom.

Gasket, I designed it with an o-ring. The prototypes will use silicone.

I'll get a picture further away.

Thanks for all the compliments.

How would one go about getting o-rings for something like that?

Norris is there some kind of filter at the top of the hose so it won't let anything out??Other then that it looks really nice. You should put a pic up in the Old School Board. You might be surprised at some of the reactions you may get.

I hope Everyone that reads this Norris , Atleast I`ll make note of it here for ALL that if you use silicone make sure it is " o2 sensor safe" not sure if it would though be at all possible anyways for any to get sucked back up but worth the mention perhaps just the same as you wd. say LoL.. Thanks again Buddy ..Looks trick will test it & feed back to ya..

I知 out of tie wraps, so the hoses are not neat.
I知 putting the filter under the air box. See picture.

You can buy o-ring cord in a hundred foot roll.

Catch can:
Some guys are taking the motor vents out of the air box,
to gain more horsepower.
The can is just a container to catch the oil mist from the rerouted
breather hoses.

Not bad... It looks like it may also help to generate a low pressure area behind it which would aid airflow through the cooler... A little...

How does the drain open? Does that price included the plumbing needed? Can you anodize black or other colors?
Thanks.

I need six more vouchers, and we値l be up to ten.
It will take about three weeks to get them finished.

Plumbing included, but not the filter.
Filter in the picture came from Auto Zone, 9 bucks.

If you guy痴 can agree on one color, I値l get them anodized.
Black, blue, red or gold.

The valves that will be on the new ones will have a thumbscrew.

Buell_rider_2003 thanks

I'll try and find better looking plumbing.
It's threaded a standard 18-27 pipe thread
so it shouldn't be that hard.

A couple 1/4 20 cap screws will be included.

Yes to all the above.

Everybody so far wants black anodized.
So it's black anodized or machine finish.

I need three more vouchers, and we値l be up to ten.

Really nice work. I wish I had the equipment to fiddle around with stuff like that. Out of curiosity if one wanted to have something similar like that built from a machine shop or the like what should be the going rate?

If it works the same as on a car - the catch can reduces the build up of oil in the intake tract that results from the positive crankcase breather valve venting oil and fuel saturated air back in to the intake, mixed with clean air, as a measure to reduce emissions.

So is oily build up a problem on the Buell?
