What are the options for converting a the XB9s handlebar configuration to clip on style bars like the R model?

Try the Crossroads bar conversion at www.crossroadsperformance.com

I know they aren't a sponsor, but we are and we sell their stuff, so that must kinda' count; )

Alternatively you may find a kind soul with an XBR that would swap his top yoke/bars etc for yours. You would have to remove the ignition housing from the top yoke to fit it onto the S.

You can also try Azonic CR Low dirt bike bars for $30. They are much more forward than stock, mostly due to the lack of pullback angle.

Talk to Stealthxb on the 3%'ers thread in the Storm Fronts page. I did an S to R triple tree and bar conversion for him and he can tell you what it cost him total. The labor was a pain though but will look sweet when he's done. It took me awhile but it was worth it. Odie

you will not need the brake cable unless you think it is too long. The ignition switch is a little different, you may also need that.

It WILL fit though and it is pretty easy to do, takes an hour or so. (to go the other way at least, R to S)

Here is a picture of the Azonic CR Low motocross bars I just put on Robn's XB9SL. She says she really likes the new riding position. Thanks to Black Sunshine for all your help...
