I just replaced my rear tire with the Pirelli Scorpion Sync and it works really well on the crap roads of RI. My question is about the front. It is time for one of those too but I can't seem to find the Sync in the right size. The only ones I am seeing are 110/80-19. Also, I know that the CityX comes with these tires, are they a different size? I don't really want to get the tire from HD as I am not made of money, but the dealers are the only place that seems to have the tire I need. Thanks, Moe

Front 120/70 ZR-17
Rear 180/55 ZR-17

Front is a 120. Here's a link to a site that sells them.
http://www.mawonline.com/pirelli.htm

They have the Pirelli Scorpion Sync on there for
(04500) $107.95 Pirelli Scorpion Sync 120/70ZR17 Front Tire

I order all my tired through them.

time for tires for my XB12R .... what about the Syncs ???also considering the Conti Road Attacks and the Michelin Pilot Roads .. I like the high void pattern of the Syncs .. since they like to use gravel on the roads up here in the Seattle area instead of salt .... any other R riders using these ?????

I love the sync on the rear. I think that it performs better than the Dunlops. It probably wouldn't be as good for a trackday, but for REAL roads, it is really good. I do ride pretty hard and I haven't had it break loose on me. It gripped well enough to lift the front on a sandy, pebble strewn road. Now I want the same kind of traction in the front. It also quickened up the turn in because it is a little narrower than the 207. No idea about the mileage I will get from it as I only have about 500 on the new tire. Also, no clue as to wet weather b/c I haven't been fortunate enough to get stuck in the rain yet.
All I know is that the Dunlops sucked in the wet and the cold. I have heard good things about the Michelins but I haven't used them.

Cataract: Thanks for the link

Just about anything of the correct size will perform better than the original Dunlops...

I can tell you for millage I have 8000 miles on my rear now and it's just about time for me to replace it. I'll be replacing it in earily Aug. just before my trip. These are the best dang tires I've had to date!!!! The front is still good for at least another 8000 miles.
