Ok everyone. I am pretty sure that I am going to sell the Buell. But I need some help with how much it is worth. It is a 2003 XB9R with 3,100 miles on it, white, orange decals. Never dropped or crashed. It still has original Dunlops and drive belt. Frame pucks, smoked double bubble, Buell custom seat.

My job requires me to drive alot in my car and coming home and then going out for a ride on the Buell almost feels like work. That is why it has such low miles. I just don't ride it enough.

So how much is book on it and what are they selling for?

Thanks

It's worth one slightly used 1978 Camaro...

I bought my '03 XB9S with new tires in March for $6,000. It had less than 2,000 miles.

Riding feels like work? That ain't right, man.

I drive about 5k miles a month in a friggin' Impala. The lame-a$$ new one, not the cop-car-corvette hybrid. I found the five hour per day couch-on-wheels experience so disconnected me from what I was doing that I became very complacent to the fact that driving that far that fast was a lethal endeavor. I was one of those big mac eating cell phone talking steering with my knees people. I took up riding again to get me back in the mindset. It makes me a better driver, no question. I ride because I have to drive so much.

Hi, everybody, my name is Tom, and (sob...sniff), I'm a recovering zombie cage operator. I've been clean and sober for one year now....

That's why you take the bike around for work.

I picked one up a year ago for $6500 with the same mileage. It was before the 12's became ever so popular. You might be lucky to get $6000-4500 out of it. Best thing about Buells are the resale value to new buyers, but that is bad for sellers.

Why not ride to work, Rubberdown bought the Ventura pack system and has modified a fairing for wind, just a question. He carries laptop, folders and all the legal goodies for his job.

Purchased my 2003 XB9R White mid february with 1800 miles, CRG levers, Buell Touring saddle, touring grips, Heli Bars, Mirror extenders and the lower XB9S footpegs. The guy was asking $6,000. i traded him for my 01 XR650L and cash which from my opinion meant I got the bike for a couple hundred less than $6000. He wanted my XR pretty bad which helped.

Dude,

If the bike ever really, really turned you on, you should keep it because you're always going to want another, and this one is/will be paid off! It will save you the money of getting another one, and the 9r will ALWAYS be a cool bike. I've put 25k miles on mine, and that's with being in Iraq for a year.

Wow, Sherm... I'm ashamed I've been riding mine the whole time and only have 14,000 mi!

I think T9r is right on with the $4500-6000 figure. E-bay it and see what happens? If I were you I'd keep it...But you knew we'd say that...
