ladies, fellas, i have that ermax undertail kit on my xb12r. the bulb number is 1157 , but the bulbs with this identical part number, at ALL local auto parts stores is a longer one than what the undertail kit came with, so they do not fit. does anyone know of where i can pick up a shorter one to fit my bike. any help would be greatful, thanks much. the one i need is about an inch and 1/4 long, the ones at the auto stores are about 2 inches long. info@deejmillz.com (thanks again) also who knows a cheap place to buy tires (sportec m1 rear for the xb, thanks: )

Sounds like you have an 1157 "Euro" bulb to me. I own an older (84) VW, and it uses the bulb you are looking for. Find a European import parts house, like a Bap-Geon or such, they will have what you seek.

Check a cycle shop. I bought some after market lights for one of my other bikes and had this same problem. The cycle shop had some that where shorter than the ones at the auto stores. Google search the web for cheap motorcycle tires. I was able to find a set of front and rear Dunlop 208z tires for $200 delivered. Local shops gave me a hard time when I wanted them mounted though, asking where I got them. I say it's worth it when I was able to save about $100 bucks.

DJ- www.ronayers.com should get you the best price on tires.
As far as the bulbs, next time your in the autoparts store, have them look up the turn bulb for an late 80's VW or Audi, should do the trick. We ran into that alot at the AZone I used to manage.
