Anyone here running on Tamahawk tires? They look so funny - I might have to get some of those one of these days!!! Can't help my taste - but orange on a black XBs should be a fun contrast. | ||

I've read a bad review or two in the cycle mags, pretty stiff and not much grip... me, i like tires that feel sticky  | ||

A buddy of mine put them on his 636, the money he saved on the tires he put into repairing the bike. No Good. Dont scimp on tires, regardless of the bike they are the "confidence" between machine and the ground. I have been using Pirelli's with confidence. | ||

Just my opinion, but I will stick with premium quality tires on my bikes. Not saying you will have any difficulty with them. Just implying that I don't want to risk my life or my bike for a few bucks. A second thought would be if colored tires are so good, why isn't there a major tire manufacturer experimenting with them on their first quality products? My luck, there is and I am about to learn who is doing it, eh? LOL | ||

Not motorcycles, but traction is still important albeit (sp???) at a much lighter weight and usually slower speed. Of course if you ever visit a bicycle race up close and personal like here or here and see a pack of riders going less than 15" from your face at 30+mph in a corner you may think it's more the market than the technology that's preventing motorcycles tires having a bit more color in them at an acceptable performance level. I can't imagine what the stress of a burnout would do to the retread. It's all good till somebody crashes in the name of having cool colors on thier bike. I ended up going the other way and spending money on LED lights and regular tires  | ||
