Hi all, just picked up my new XB12S today - boyoboy do I love my ride! Spend 7 hours today riding her home - dang my back hurts and my face it burned - really burned - sun here in Florida can be ruthless - even when it's not too...but I LOVE my new bike - waited 2 years until I finally could afford it. Now it's time to upgrade the exhaust - looking for something loud! and not too expensive - any recommendations without having to upgrade the ECM yet as my bank account is pretty dead at this point? I think your first mods should be miles. Lots & lots of miles. Just go out & enjoy her & get to know her first before modding her. Your bankbook will thank you If you absolutely have to spend more $$$ on her to be happy may I reccomend: 1. Service manual 2. Parts manual 3. Frame pucks 4. swingarm & fork sliders. Invest in your bike's health & protection first then add power second. That's just my two cents worth. Mike, Shawn's Drummer does sound very nice, But I still love my D&D. The best thing for you might be to check e-bay for deals. I've heard jardines sound nice and they go for $150-250 alot. Me I would save for the can you really want so you will be happy. Just my .02. And of course WELCOME ABOARD!! Aaron | ||

Special O.P.S.! Best bang for your buck IMO. Talk to Odie or the Stone Mountain crew in the Sponsor section. Sound is absolutely mean, and I'm only running it with the stock ECM, K&N and no snorkel right now. You can still jack the bike too unlike the Jardine. Odie is a great guy, he'll answer any questions you might have. I've posted some stock vs. Special O.P.S. sound clips in the KV/Exhaust section. I'm not saying this is the hands-down pipe for you but for the price, quality and sound I have been one very, Very happy camper.  Next on my list is an open airbox and TFI so i can really feel what this pipe has to offer. _c | ||

Mike, You wont go far wrong with a Jardine. Nice loud sound and not too much cash. Only draw back is no jacking. One thing to check is the suspension set up, I had mine feeling loose on the front when pulling hard from roundabouts and at around 100mph on straight bits. Thought it was just the nature of the beast, but reset the suspension front and back for my weight as per manual and pulled 110mph around a slow left hand bend no problem its even more fun now, so make sure its set right and take it steady after adjusting till you get used to it again.
