So I've got these blue tyres from Desser on my CityX. I get them broke in real good before I start riding them hard. After I do this, I notice the front end wobbles a bit when I launch it hard and it does a slow head shake when I try to corner carrying a bit of speed. It also wobbles when I shift my body weight going INTO turns. So I think: "Oh, f*cky, I've been had. These tyres are crap"
So I talk to some folks with loads more experience and they say to up my preload one notch. So I do. Problem sorted instantly. Jeez, this bike just got a whole lot more fun.
The "More Stupider" part is; When I first got my bike, it was rough riding like hell. So when I set the suspension as per the book, I left the preload on the rear shock 1 notch below normal for my weight so it would be a tad cushier. Then I promptly forgot I did it. As the shocks broke in, the bike got a lot better riding comfort-wise but didn't want to corner at all.
As you might remember, I cussed those Pirellis and cussed them some more and went on about how crummy they were ad nauseum. And I was riding around with the wrong shock setting the whole damn time.

Dear Mr. Pirelli, I'm sorry I made such a knob of myself, slagging your fine tyres the way I did.
