Hi, Has anyone tried this DiY muffler mod? I havn't cut mine open yet but is it feasable? if it is it seems you would end up with 2 expansion chambers and 3 pipes to carry the gas out! I have a spare stock muffler so if i can't get hold of a drummer soon I might give it a go.

I have tried it ( on a 12) and so have many others.....i didn't like it... the pipe is "open" and will allow high end performance... It depend on what you are after Decide what you want....throw out the question then you will get the proper answer. | |||

That way will take away the low end. You can drill through the back of the pipe and through the crossover tube with a 3/4 bit. Then weld up the hole on the outside. That gives you better sound witout losing all of the low end. Still doesn't sound as good as any of the aftermarket stuff though. My modified muffler is too high pitched. The Jardine I have has a nice low rumble. |
