can be found here so that I am not jacking up the server space with multiples of the same pics. As some of you know I hit the asphault back on the 26th of March. Had an exhaust clamp fail on an experimental fitting of a Vance and Hines. It broke, dug into the road, and essentially flipped me to the pavement at 80mph. Good gear saved my butt alot of roadrash but couldn't prevent the compound fracture of my elbow. 21 screws 2 plates and some well placed wiring to allow some torsional movement of my forearm. Hard cast came off yesterday, and I am in a hinged brace. Go back in June now for a bonegraft to replace the inch of bone the roadway decided it wanted. Wyked I can't believe how smashed your bike is. For an 80mph flip it's taken a serious hammering but what concerns me is what seems like the price we pay for lightweight and advanced technology only for it to come out of a smash as battered as that. I can't help but feel a tube frame would have been much less damaged. No wonder your bone is an inch short looking at what your bike went through. Just makes a good platform for rebuilding now  , though, I doubt that XB frame would look as sweet in Nickel Plate  The proof will be in how it reall goes back together. Thats the only way we will really know how well it survived. | ||

Ho-Lee-CRAP! Heal well - That hurts to look at and think about it. You really cannot believe how mashed the frames can get and still be race-able straight (but UGLY) Doesn't take much to bend a tube frame - it's just not as obvious if it's bent. The XB will be straight even with a healthy dent in the side of the tank (I've "dented" 3 sides now) | ||

Looks like wycked's Buell frame puck did there job before completely desinagrating.Looks like a few scratchs in that area.But sand it down prime it and some paint,some new pucks and bingo looks like new. | ||

Oh, my. I was not aware of your accident. Glad you weren't hurt worse--the bike can be fixed, harder to get parts for your own flesh and bone (but sounds like you're getting some...bone graft, did you say?). | ||

Yup, they will take a 1.5 inch graft from the edge of my pelvis away from the joint, and shave it to fit what got ground off. I SERIOUSLY thank Firstgear for a top notch product. Frank Thomas gloves and KBC helmets as well. Hey, Mike (Norrisperformance), my bad man, I thought you had already heard about the wreck and the cause before the PM you had sent, so I am issueing my appology for jumping you so hard in my reply. | ||

Holy crap dude!!! Thank goodness for good gear!! Good luck with your surgery in May. I can tell you from having two bone grafts myself that the worst pain you're gonna feel is from your hip. The good thing is, the docs know this and will undoubtedly put you on some kind of morphine or demerol drip while you're in hospital. Again, good luck with the surgery and heal fast so you can get your bike back together and get back on the road!! Billy | ||

Actually, I'd say the bike looks better than I expected for such a crash. The safety features of it worked out well. Least the tank/frame is better looking that I would expect. | ||
