ok ive registered and can now see the graphs... would have helped if that was stated first but.... and glitch states that a noticable increase would be felt if the bike had an unmolested airbox set up.....that should rule out about 50% of buell owners then, if glitch could get one of these and test it then i might begin to believe the hype.... but then blake suggested an independent test ages ago so whats the chance of one happening?...i would be interested to get some mid range back as the top end on my bike is now excellent and all i need,but without independent unbiased testing i would not contemplate purchasing one of these..... abr you really have made life extremley difficult for yourself over this |

At about 300 miles on my XB9 I put the race kit on. I could still wheelie it the same. It didn't feel all that different to me. At about 1500 miles I got a Drummer and that seemed to make a noticeable difference. Second came up easier with less body english. That Drummer difference was backed up by Tilly's dyno runs posted on this forum. Of all the stuff I've tried the Drummer made the biggest difference on my bike. Other guys have said other aftermarket pipes are good too. Don't know about them as I haven't tested them myself. Generally speaking the loud ones with little back pressure give up bottom end for top end gains. No intake mods on this forum have been PROVEN to make any gains other than the 12's airbox cover with its inverted cone. Many claims have been made but never credibly proven.
I'd be willing to bet that a lot of time effort and sophisticated testing went into that dumb ••• rubber velocity stack that just works. |

I sell tubes, clothes and run events..And have never had a complaint.
If you dont like the product thats one thing but attacking a person you have never met or delt with is wrong and defematory comments are something that you should refrain from making. By all means attack the product (if you have proof) but please refrain from making defamatory comments about me when you have no evidence to back your claims. If these comments continue i will take further action. Comments like the ones you are making are bad for me, my site and my business and they are untrue and unsubstantiated, It would be in good taste if you retract and appologise for making comments of this nature. |

I think you're missing the point. You have and continue to violate some board rules that Blake and others have kindly (and sometimes not so kindly) pointed out, yet you refuse to back off. That pisses a lot of people off, especially when they ARE paying sponsors of this site. |

The motive would be to defend the integrity of this discussion forum and community of Buell enthusiasts from disingenuous peddlers who blatantly defy the policy of the board, the exact same policy to which you agreed when registering here. See we rely on our sponsors to foot the bill to keep the place up and running. They ain't gonna foot the bill if people like you are allowed to ignore the no non-sponsor marketing/advertising rule. Feel free to post a single link in the "Links" main topic. But other than that you'll either need to apply for sponsorship or do the right and honorable thing and bow out apologetically and gracefully.

OK, this thread has officially ended.
No need to post anything until the tests are in.
James (Aussie_buell_riderz) is sending me one of his pods.
I've agreed to test it on my bike.
Once I get the pod I'll go have a base run done, swap to the Devil pod, ride around a bit, then return to the dyno for the compare.
Once this is done, I'll post all the information (including dyno charts) in a new thread, and you can do with it what you will.
If it works as advertised, I'll have to ask James to either sell his pods through one of our sponsors, or become a sponsor himself.
If it doesn't work as advertised, well, I guess there won't be anything left to do will there?

I bought a airbox tube last week at first and i thought it looked like it would fix my problem with lower power. Then once Blake and others started doubting the performance and saying that it was a scam i was concerned and thought that if i don't get it within another week i will ask for my money back. Well i got it yesterday and put it on last night, installation was easy and it has made a good difference down low. I wouldn't say it was making the bike 100% better but it has made an improvement to the low down power delivery and torque. I rode today on my usual trip to work and it was really an improvement on the old arrangement.

No James, I wouldn't bash you if you said that. I would ONLY say that I would need back to back dyno proof.
The difference is that he only has one post and you have many (not to mention the fact that we've been through Jerome and had excellent Pizza together)... He only had one post. That does not inspire confidence. |
