To everybody that has changed out the stock bars on the cityx or xb's,how is the removal of the controls,grips,mirrors,hand protectos,etc.. just need to know if anybody has any tips on this that they might have run into when changing the bars out..i'm installing pro taper se bars on my cityx...thanks to all for the help!

throttle cable routing is critical to avoid sticking on full left lock.....thats the only problem i encountered when changing the bars on my 9s

Grips are always a pain in the butt. I recommend getting a new set of grips and cutting your old ones off. Use hairspray to put your new ones on with. They will slide on like a breeze and then when the hairspray dries it is sticky and your grips stay put.

Yeah, Grips could be a pain in the neck. I found by using a thin screwdriver and the air hose from my compressor, you can actually blow the grips off.

the air compressor thing is a good trick, I'll have to try it. A little bit of spray paint also works as a lube to get new grips on and glues them in place once they are where you want them. use it sparingly though.
