I noticed the other day , picking up on subframe there's play at the upper shock mount.Anyone had problems with this before , or should there be "slack" at that joint. Also any tips on steering stem adj. ? Shoot sorry, 03 xb9s thanks .

It should wiggle from side to side a smidge but not much up and down with the weight off the bike. If it's moving while sitting on the ground I'd look into it further.

I had the same condition with my 03 9R. Tighten the upper bolt up a little more and all the play is gone. I know it almost seems like your over doing it but the play does go away.
