yes the only difference in the motor parts is the primary gearing,the crankshaft and the throttlebody, otherwise all the other engine components are interchangeable. You can have the primary cover and cam cover redone in the wrinkle blaack for less unless you can find a set on Ebay. The primary cover runs $235 or so. Not sure what the cost of the cam cover is. | ||

Kenny ever maybe thought of taking the primary off scuffing and priming it then spraying it with Buells frame spray paint???The stuff lays on awesome. | ||

I'm going to paint both covers too, i just ordered up some HD wrinkle black paint from Daves. It'll be a few weeks before I can get to this project but the process BadS1 mentioned is the plan, a simple scuff/prime/paint. |
