Can't get it to latch. Fits REALLY tight. What's the solution(s) you've come up with? Seems to feel EXCELLENT. Now I need to get it latched and take a ride!
TIA

take a blade and shave the rubber bump stops down a bit, it'll fit well with a little help.

Maybe quite a bit. (I used a Dremel)Then start on the next closest set. Some have added washers under the latch assembly (seat won't fit as well). Then give it a very stiff, two handed wack, or several(which is even more difficult with any kind of tail bag). Keep shaving the bumpers until it clicks. I don't see why they don't fit better out of the box. The seat is really great, but the initial install can be a serious pain.

You only need your hands to latch it on. It's deliberately made to fit tight. I use the two fist method. After aligning the seat, using your hands, do a quick and hard karate chop with both hands at the rear part of the seat. It should snap in. After you ride for a while, you will see that the seat will loosen up so that you merely need to push the rear end of the seat to lock it in. Let me know how it goes.

How long did it take to get your seat.
I've got one on order with Daves.

I'll remember the karate chop method
when it gets here.

I ordered it from Corbin last Friday. They said they wouldn't have it to me for 2 weeks. Showed up yesterday! Maybe they weren't too busy to make one, or found one in stock with my specs... Shaved the rear rubber feet a bit with the dremel and added some washers under the latch. Finally got it to snap into place. Feels nice! Once the feet break in a bit I'll remove the washers.
Thanks for the input!

Do you have an S or R? We had problems with my bro's R. Had to bend the bracket out a bit. Careful though, you can brake the bracket off pretty easier. The welds are too strong there.

I had some trouble getting my corbin to latch also. I heated up the rubber stoppers with a blow dryer and the seat latched easily. Eventually the rubber molds to the side rails and it is no problem to get the seat to latch.

If the stoppers aren't the problem, you might try stacking some washers under the latch hook on your seat.
Be sure to put some lockwashers on them as well because those bolts will back out if you don't.

I also had the same problem with the stoppers being installed wrong. Wonder what Corbin is using for a template?
