okay dont get mad cause i didnt read through all the treads to find out but i need to know cause im goin on vacation next week.i have an xb9 with TFI K&N, and modifiyed Jardine, do i need to get my TPS reset or no?

unless you have replaced the ecm with one that has never been fitted to your bike before..... then no... but if you have rough running problems anyway it might not be a bad idea to check it out

To clarify... If you have rough running problems AFTER running down the road at ~3200-3500 RPMs for a few minutes, then maybe look into the TPS. It most likely would have been doing this before the new parts though if it's going to.

oh yea i forgot to ask...could gettin it reset clear up the popping on deacceleration??

NO. I had D&D, K&N, stock ecm. Popped on decel. Put in the race ecm had tps reset. STILL pops on decel. I just live with it.

Popping on decel *can* be a sign of an exhaust leak ... which unfortunately in the case of a tuber with a race header often means it's cracked ... again : )

New exhaust gaskets, high temp silicone at the muffler and correct assembly will fix that - a basic leak that is - not the crack ...
