(Do you have the stock exhaust?)

Sorry dude.. I couldn't resist... that was from a joke we pulled on a guy at work on his first phone call to a Mexican maintenance base. We could hear the guys in Mexico laughing all the way back in Vegas!

Hello from Spain Everyone, I have a backfire problem with my xb12r when I downshift and I have doubts this is normal. I see that everyone changes their exhasut and filters, is there an advantage to this?

I tried to tell him that usually loose head gaskets or exhaust gaskets cause backfire when you roll off - or exhaust nut or bolt. I'm translating "blind" using Babelfish.

Sé mi 12R does/did eso.

I told him:
A little popping on deceleration is normal, especially if you have changed the exhaust.

Lots of popping on deceleration could be an intake or exhaust leak.

The Pro-Series upgrades (air filter, exhaust, computer) provides a nice performance improvement and is worth the money, but needs to be installed by a dealer for calibration of the computer.

Holla
