The weather is improving here in Denver, so finally I will get to put some miles on the '04 12S I bought in January. There are a couple things I was wondering about: My fuel pump whines like crazy when I first start it in the morning. I can hear it over the engine running while I let it warm up before riding. After 5-10 minutes, it shuts up, but I can't help but wonder if this is normal. A call to one of the local Buell dealers' service departments got me: "we'll give it a listen, but generally warranty won't replace it unless it's broken." (bike is still under warranty) Anyone else have this?

What is the general consensus on the accuracy of the speedometers? I think mine is off about 5 mph at 70.

The fuel pump noise is normal.
Get a D+D on that thing and you'll not hear it again!

Speedo might be off that far but most aren't?
