ok here's the deal, all stock 12s no mods....cruising at 3 grand any gear...just a strange azz noise almost like a rapping, sounds like maybe exhaust?..it has 2500 miles on it..could it be the valve in the muff?..the bike runs perfect.anybody else ever heard this??

Sounds like normal engine noise to me. Put a new muffler on it and drown it out

Can you get it to replicate the sound while sitting? Maybe try holding the throttle at 3 grand to see if a piece of the bike is loose. (like a chin fairing, left side air scoop, or even something more drastic like... oh I don't know...you get the idea.)

??? fwiw- check the horn mount - mine was rattling like crazy at 3000 - just had to tighten the bolt and put a little bit of foam between the horn and the mag fairing.

well i went over it pretty well today, checked almost everything that is bolted on,even the horn. everything seems fine.
so i figured while i was messin around i would de-snorkel it and shorten up the front turn signals.
so i did get something accomplished
