is there a how-to on this topic? bike is due for an oil change soon and i'm wondering how to change the oil/oil filter..i have onlychanged the oil oil/filter on a jap bike(zx-6r)..would it be the same? if not can anyone give me a step by step on how to do it and if possibly post pictures? also, any special tools i need?

If you can't change the oil with above instructions, you need to take your bike to the dealer and have then do it.

You forgot to mention the most repeated words in the shop manual; SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH MAY RESULT. or some crap like that. Never mind....

2: Drink Beer

You will need to change the primary/trans oil too at the 5000 mile intervals.

I changed my fluids at 600 miles. I was surprised at the amount of metal shavings collected on the magnetic drain plugs.
