i decided to take the bike out yesterday for a short ride. it turned out to be so short i didnt make it 2 blocks from my house. I dont know how, but i went down. the bike slid on the bars and the passenger pegs. had i not had them on, i probably would have done much more damage to my leg instead of only my knee.. fyi | ||

Hope everything is alright. My pegs saved me. A few light scratches on the pegs is a lot easier to deal with. | ||

That's the only reason I have the rear pegs and mounts on - they act as a slider. (Message edited by dcmortalcoil on March 17, 2005) | ||

Glad you are alright. After I laid mine down, I saw that the passenger pegs saved me a lot of heartache. That is the ONLY reason they're still on. | ||

When my bike got hit by a Jeep last summer, the pegs saved a lot of extra repair work. One broken rear peg was much easier to fix than the tailsection would have been. |
