Try a search! Basically you have to remove your chin fairing, remove the belt cover, Lift the bike up on a rear stand(Not totally required), loosen the pinch bolt on the right side of the swing arm(make sure you loosen it enough), then Loosen your axle(Counter Clockwise, lefty loosy, the front is reverse), then loosen the axle about 15 rotations, next remove the idle pulley, now remove the straps and front mount. Yer dun!! Now, some people have removed the muffler without loosening the axle and removing the idler pulley. They used elbows and extensions to get to the straps. I found it just as easy to do the complete process.

I use the wobbly and extension method. I've done it about five times in the last month (fixing a Force pipe...) and as long as you have a wobbly you should be fine.

YES! I lost 2 bolts already because I was lazy to go back inside and find me some loctite. Now I need to get me 2 new bolts.

Oki...go to the website for KD Fab...the Drummer. He has instructions on removing the muffler. I tried copying the website, but it won't let me, but I think we have a link under sponsors (?).

Are you healing okay?

Oki

We are in the same time zone...

We did a Polar Bear Run over here last Sunday. Good weather last couple of days, but it is turning bad as I write...raining and thunder...highs in the weekend only in the 30s. I am sure Okinawa has better weather than here. We are all anxious to ride

I wrote the removal instructions for the KDFab website after reading the service manual and pulling mine off about 5 times. PM me if you would like a copy as a word or PDF document.
