Has anyone else stripped out one of the mounting tabs on their D&D exhaust.

I was so pissed when it happened. I guess I will be retapping it.

Luckily it was on the right side where there are three bolts holding the shroud on.

To be honest, I was a bit worried about stripping mine as well, as the paint had sand like crap in it that was stuck in the holes. I used a tap to just run through real quick, knocked all that crap out, and no problem on install.

Sorry to hear, just try using the same size tap to clean out first, you might just be surprised what a little "love tapping" can do!! LOL

I had no problems mounting my D&D. I guess I was just lucky. Since I put it on this winter and ran it a few times, my problem now is rust.
