Nice to meet you too, Mike!
Day 5:
KTM SuperTTrax was awesome. Reg Kitrelle and KTM put on a good show.
Got to meet up with some Buellers there including Rich and Clyde. Clyde took some pics of me on the track, THANKS!
It took me a long time to get used to the bike because it was so tall and I had never ridden such a bike before. They lowered one of the bikes by about an inch but they still brought out a milk crate so I could get on the bike!
I took it easy and just had fun with it, except I got beat by Dyna, he was doing 1:37's and I could only get into the 1:38's. With more time and laps I could have improved but he was faster today. The really fast guys were in the 1:33's.
After that my brother and his family and I went to the Supercross at the Speedway and had a great time. Again took forever to get out of the speedway, getting out of a nascar race there is sounds like a nighmare.
Today is the big one. If anybody at Daytona reads this, Mike (Coolice) wants everybody that went tot the race to meet at the go kart track after the race. A good way to let the traffic die down.

still in florida. daytona was fun, riding back and forth from orlando was fine - except one night when it was too freakin cold.
starting in orlando in the morning, headed to key west in the morning (tues), then fort lauderdale (wed), then sarasota (thurs), then back to orlando (fri), and putting the bike in a friends garage in kissimmee and flying out fri night at 8p til i come back down to florida from snowy vermont!
i'm keeping the bike in florida til at least late april since riding season doesnt start til then in vermont! i'll be making another couple trips down to florida to ride and get some sun 
so if youre in key west, fort lauderdale, sarasota, orlando, or kissimee, send me a PM

What days are you in Sarasota? Fort Myers is 1 hour south and I'm right by the HD dealership. Stop by and I'll buy you lunch (if'n I can afford it).

It was great hanging with everyone.
Plenty of pics & storied to follow. I only test rode 2 bikes, Victory Hammer & Boss Hoss....the Boss is very cool.
Ran the drag cars at the go-kart track..0-75 mph in about 3.5 seconds with a car is damn fast. Dyno runs were done on a few of our bikes at a local shop...lets just say im a happy camper |

1 - Buell Demo off-road adventure
2 - Not catching up with the rest of the gang sooner
3 - Oil leak on the M2 (It's a HD)

Great to see ya Jos'e! Pics are great but the times we all had words can't describe. Fun and seeing, riding motorcycles all week- what a vacation!! Also good to meet other Badweber's during the week. And thanks to Aldaytona!! Saturday, well,... BRAG did outstanding job, the ONLY way to watch a race. Hopefully next year we will have Buells in the race to cheer for, get well Shawn! Saw lots of Buells during the week and we sure had ours out and around Daytona. Can't wait for the pics to be posted. Go karting.... thats another thread...... |

Ryan, sure!
The only thing about the Demo rides is that it is better to do them Monday-Tuesday if you are around, less waiting for bikes & less traffic to deal with.
Most of the stuff I like about Daytona happens at the Speedway. RaceWatching/DemoRiding/Battletrax/Gokarting/Hootering can all be done within walking distance around the speedway.
I'm not into the bar/main street scene at all.
There are also some very neat places to visit in the area like St. Augustine and Cape Canaveral an not a bad place to eat! Coolice knows them all.

scooterroid/steve-o....yes the windchill sucked at those speeds, but it made the torture seem shorter too!!!!
did you and frank make it back to daytona fri/sat/sun? i called frank for dinner tonight and didnt hear back 
fort myers is a definite possibility, since its really only the way from fort lauderdale to sarasota. should be wednesday afternoon/evening that i will be blowing through town. sure you can buy me lunch/dinner/drinks - what else is new ? its MY turn silly boy. i'll call you on your cell when plans firm up more.
coolice - sorry we didnt meet up the rest of the week - was great to see ya wed night. i'll give you guys a call when i am in chicago next week!

Jose, I'm not much of a drinker so the bars are out for me. I'm more than up to it next year. I'm making a note to take off from work all of bike week along with the following week.

I was out sick yesterday and did not get your message til late. I hope your ride around FL goes well.
It was great to meet up with fellow Buell owners on Wed. though I wish the weather would have cooperated. We'll have to do it again at Biketoberfest!

Oh you dont need to drink in order to enjoy the bar scene. I didnt have 1 alcoholic drink at all the entire time there, but I did spend time at Iron Horse, Broken Spoke, Boot Hill, Dirty Harrys & Froggys & let me tell you the sights I saw at Froggys were well worth it

Well Dyna, I probably should have expanding on that a bit. I don't drink (especially when I'm on a bike) but I am not opposed to going to the bars to check out the bikes and whatnot. Anyways, who's ready for Biketoberfest? |
