EDIT: figured it out. Orginal post left below.
2 of the rotor bolts backed out and assfucked the stator and rotor with a firework.

So I'm trying to remove the stator cover to change the stator. And the bitch won't budge. I got all 13 bolts out, the crank sensor out and she ain't moving. When I changed the rotor a few years ago, the cover popped out about 1/4 inch before popping back under magnet force. This time it's not even pulling out at all.

Other thoughts, what's the little plug in the middle thats retained by a snap ring for? I'm contemplating making a puller that uses the snap ring to retain it and push on the end of the crank shaft. What's in the hole the in the center of the crank shaft?

Had you removed the rotor before? And what was the first sign you had a issue?

I had removed the rotor a few years ago to change to the oiling rotor.
First sign of a problem was the changing voltage dropping off and the bike running out of juice.
Problem was 2 bolts from the gear behind the rotor that bolt to the rotor had backed out and f--ed up the rotor and stator. They are both fubar.
