I wasnít watched close enough...back in the hospital with worse pneumonia than I had last month!

I never really got past it, and itís possible that another bug got into the fluid remaining in my lungs.

Waiting on sputum cultures...on 8 liters of oxygen with a special cannula made for high flow rates.

Shoot, not good. My Dad had it bad not too long ago. I know how serious it can be!

Please take care of yourself.

Hope you get better soon Pan!

We want to see those dyno results, my finger is tired of holding the trigger on this TC-W3

Any updates on this Pan or Fresno?

Are you still running a mix? What's your current mix ratio?

I am still doing it. I realize my 1 ounce per 5 gallons is a bit more complicated when I am filling up 3.something gallons at a typical fuel stop. Soooo...I am putting in a half ounce per 3.something gallons.

The bike runs great. I am considering just putting a full ounce per fill up (at 3.something gallons) and calling it good.

I'm still doing it too, but about 1/10th that much!

I fell I still get all the benefits (quieter, cooler) without over doing it. YMMV: )

Hi guys. I did finally kick the pneumonia, and although I'm still struggling to get back to something resembling normal, at least I can breathe without oxygen.

I'm still running the same tank of fuel I mixed the outboard oil in when I last posted about it. It was added to the 1125R I haven't licensed for the road yet, so it only gets ridden on the private road in the community.
The only bike that I've made it to the dyno with is the 124" Dyna, and I didn't want to experiment with it just yet.

I need to sit down with Chris from Holeshot, and tell him what I want to do, so we can set up a plan. I want to dyno both of the '08 1125Rs I have, one of which has been running OB oil, the other hasn't.
The fuel in the '08 I put the outboard oil in is probably stale by now, so I need to drain it, and run it with some fresh fuel, then figure out a test plan for the dyno.

I have a feeling there isn't going to be much if any difference in oil added or not now that it has some miles with oil in the fuel.

I suspect that the oil is freeing up sticky valves, cleaning dirty intake tracts, and such, and the benefits will continue for a time whether or not oil is continually added.

I could be wrong...

I'll talk it over with Chris this week, and sometime soon, we'll do some pulls.

I did a couple tanks mixing 1 oz. to 4 gallons on my V-Strom 650. As far as I could tell, the mileage was better by about 10-15%. It might have had a few extra ponies, but it was tough to tell.

I'll run through the rest of the TC-3W bottle with the rest of my bikes and see if they have similar results.

Pan - in reading up on others who have tried this, they believe the 2 stroke oil smooths out the flame front, which is why you see better mileage and a bit more power. That effect should come and go with usage of the oil.

You could try running a couple tanks of clean gas through your bike, dyno'ing it, then putting in some oil and dyno'ing it again for a comparison. That way, you can do them back to back for a straight comparison.
