Would it be advisable to swap out brake pads just because they are old? Does age degrade their qualities? I assume these are the original brake pads, as the bike has only just ticked over 10,000kms. Unless their life is considerably shorter than this |

Pad material is one of a few things that will not degrade over time. The brakes on my 1125 are used hard. (Galfer Waves and Brembo master Cylinder). I have HH pads and I'm surprised how well they hold up. |
