I searched and no luck (granted on my phone)

Would an exhaust from an 1190 fit up to the 1125 engine and mounting points without modification?

Local guy is parting out his 1190 after destroying his 2nd engine block after squeezing too much juice out at the track. Factory race exhaust apparently.

Someone on here has done it, and I think it was fairly straightforward. IIRC they wanted to get the rads from an EBR which required an exhaust change. I'm pretty sure it was/is a bolt on item - rads too, and shouldn't require any other mods, unless you wanted the secondary can.

ohhhh k - questions for you mate!

Do the headers straight bolt up without any modifications required of the 1190 pipework? I have comparison images and the bolt patterns on the block (on the front cylinder at least) appear a match.

Are the mount points of the 1125 compatible with the exhaust?

Did you have to relocate the oil cooler?

Any other tidbits you have handy would be great! (i always assumed that word was titbit ha!)

Neil,
The problem is not the exhaust on either the ii125 or the 1190. They both work very well. The number one issue on the 1125 is heat. The radiators direct waste air inwards toward the frame, engine and fuel tank causing all kinds of nasty issues. The 1190 has corrected most of that issue and Jorge has addressed the issue to his credit. This was not a bolt on conversion. Good job Jorge! Tell us how it works.

I've experienced the intense heat soak many a time. If i had the funds I'd be grabbing the whole cooling system, oil cooler, and exhaust from this guy - he'd already mentioned he'd throw the oil cooler and brackets in with the exhaust for free.
AUD$1000 for the full system seems like a good deal... my minister of war and finance never agrees : )

The 1190 exhaust routs the same way the 1125 does except for the front header. The 1190s comes straight down and the 1125 out to the right. Other than that it is the same as fat as mounting goes. I did have to modify the old oil cooler mounts to clear the exhaust, you only need to round off the mount on the right side of the bike like in the first pic. I ended up doing both so it actually looked proportional. All the 1190s have this done to both sides except for they didnt paint it.

I started this mod a long time ago and had to wait for the 1190 parts to be available. I bought all the parts new at full price right when the 1190s hit the street. I was well into the 4k range on this, the cooling system at MSRP was around $1800. If you have a person selling you everything for $1000 AUD, roughly $740 USD JUMP ON IT!!!! man that would be such a bargain!

I went with the 1190 cooling system because I realized on my own the 1125s was crap and more of an afterthought. I also thought it was stupid to dump all that hot air back into the bike. Also I wanted to make the bike slimmer with custom body work and finish it off right, I did not want it all to look like it was just slapped together.

You will need to find a place for the ECU on this, if you go the 1190 route there will be no mounting for it in the stock location. You could make a bracket and leave it there but you will be dumping heat on it. I decided to put mine in the tail but that requires extending the wiring harness. Putting it in the dash area would be the same. You can put it in the airbox as well but thats a route I didnt like.

Where did the 1190 ECU reside?

The 1190 ECM is under the seat, where it should have stayed and never been stuffed under the radiator shroud on the 1125.
