My mighty steed failed me last week. Fifty miles from home of course, insurance is wonderful. Got a tow on it.
It was no start, key on seemed normal. Hit the start switch and nothing happened. Problem resolved to be a low headlight beam that had failed to a short. This short took out the lights fuse which took voltage from the start relay. Lamps usually fail open. Compounding the difficulty is Service Manual wiring diagram has connectivity to the start switch reversed.
All is well now. Just a note to pass along info.
