I've read a few threads here about this problem but wanted to get some feedback just to be safe. Rode to work yesterday and after work I turned the bike on and got the THEFT ERROR message. I viewed the code and it said SYSTEM VOLTAGE. After reading one of the threads on this forum, I removed the battery and had it tested. Battery was bad. Bought a new battery and bought a new tender, just in case. Put in new battery, started up with no THEFT ERROR message. After plugging in the tender over night, I noticed the next day that the tender light was green and bike fired right up. System showed 14v in first gear and got up to 14.1v during acceleration. Problem is when shifting out of first, and every gear after that, the system would show a drop off to 13.9v and the bike would initially lose power before acceleration. The lowest it dropped was 13.7v. Bike would then climb back to 14.1v until the next gear and repeat the same process. I'm guessing it is the VR that is causing this problem?? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I do have the TM charging system upgrade (oil jet rotor and new stator) and it was installed in March 2016.
