Several threads on this already exist and it does work. Maps are free. This has been around for a couple years or so.

They work. Not bad to build one from parts either, though there are a lot of fussy little details and the connector can be annoying.

The Bluetooth dongles themselves work (although if they work anything like the one built by Xopti it is a pain in the ass to pair and keep paired).

Most of the maps hosted on that site are stolen intellectual property

Both a cable and this can be used on ECMspy/tunerpro and other tuning programs.

ECMDroid on Android only works over Bluetooth, so even if you used an OTG adapter you can't use a cable on Android.

In my experience a cable is less hassle. Again maybe Buelltooth's dongle has a different chip and is more reliable, but I've found the one I got years ago that was built by Xopti to be difficult to get to pair and would need to be paired again the next time I went to use it. Buelltooth's dongles are quite a bit smaller than the one I have, I might just pick one up to see if it is any better. At any rate it would be easier to keep stored on a bike than my current one which is about the same size as as a pack of cigarettes.

Cables are always going to be more reliable as it is a physical connection, and Windows 7 and higher automatically install the driver for them. One of the big headaches years ago with getting ECMspy working was dealing with the drivers, but that is not and issue anymore, now it is plug and play, fire up ECMspy, tell it to detect port and be done with it.

The pairing on the one I built is a bit of a hassle, but I leave the dongle on the bike all the time, so I don't have to take off the seat. It's just there waiting. Clicking on enough pages to get the pair is about the same as flipping up the triple tail and getting the seat off (IMHO).

The cables are also a little fragile, I broke my cabled one and had to repair it.

Either is fine, I prefer wireless if I have an android device handy, but it's pretty close to a wash in my mind.
