So last night, bored in the shop. I grab my bluetooth dongle for ecm droid and stick in in My CR and just start looking at different menus.

Under the ECM setup Menu in the General Config Tab. I found a check box for "Deceleration Fuel Cut" and it was unchecked.

Ahhh cool, let me check that and see how it behaves tomorrow on the way to work.

Awefull, bucked spit, no coast at all, damn near threw me over the bars at one point. immediately regretted it and was real happy I brought the dongle with me.

I was a few minuets early so I plugged back in at work, uncheck that box and took it around the block.

Still runs like complete crap. WICKED surge in first gear. falls on its face in coast. really bad.

Didnt have to much time to mess with it but now its in the back of my mind.

I'll try to plug in again at lunch and make sure it "took" but WTF?

Worst case I have a flash saved on my laptop at home and Ill re-Burn it back to Original with Tunerpro.

I can only think that it changed a bunch of fuel cells and didnt change them back.

I am horrible at HEX but I can try to get a copy of the ECM and load it for you guys to take a look at it .

Did flashing your backup onto the ECM fix it?

I got it fixed

for some reason it didnt take with ecm droid the first time I tried.

Did it again and got that turned off MUCH BETTER

the fuel cut on decel option is WAY to harsh for the street.

hard to rpm match gears, right?
Moving from a well tuned 96S1 to the CR I found difficult to RPM match, so much torque! The race module has too little torque. go figure.

I would pay $$ for an IAC controller knob.
Would You?

The race ECM is intended for the track, that is why it has the engine breaking down as low as it is. The brakes are the most efficient way to stop the bike on the track. I would rather have minimal engine braking for on road and on track applications. Much easier to control.
