Installed the EBR slave, barnett clutch kit and springs and now the lever bottoms out half way and doesnt go to the bar.

I took it apart 3 times, reinspected 3 times. Cannot see a problem.

I havent started it, maybe it needs vaccumm... anyone else have this problem? anyone have any ideas?

"lever bottoms out and doesn't go to the bar"???
a)if the "system" needed to be bleed (air in the system)..the lever would travel to the bar without any resistance
b)the Barnett springs are very stiff/strong...some of us who run the Barnett plates use the stock (OEM) springs...are you sure the "resistance" you are feeling in the lever is not the new stiffer springs?
c)Is the slave cylinder moving when you grab the lever...you can see it move where the spherical nut is adjusted...is the spherical nut too tight to where the clutch is not "relaxed" and all you are doing is "hitting the stop" with slave cylinder? ( how many turns did you tighten the spherical nut...try loosening the nut a turn at a time and see what happens)
d) the "pull rod" for the clutch ( the rod the spherical nut screws on) is dislocated from the end plate in the clutch pack) and you're not moving the end plate....(if thats the case it would be very difficult to attach the spherical nut...not enough thread would be exposed)

the vacuum is only supposed to aid in a "slipper" action when down shifting...you should get a positive feel ( full travel ) of the lever with the engine off...again check to see if the slave cylinder is moving when you squeeze the lever... and you may want to replace the barnett springs with the stock ones ( especially if you ride in stop and go traffic) hope this helps

I run the Barnett clutch kit springs and plates, EBR cylinder along with the the Accossato master cylinder, only issue I had was neutral was a bit hard to find, but after a few track days it has gotten better. I guess I would check the stack height of the clutch pack, and the alignment of the slave cylinder holes.

There is no air in the system, lever bottoms out like something is physically stuck. The stack of the whole unit together is thicker but the clutch I pulled out was toast. Book doesn't give a max spec but its the thickness of two plates difference atleast. Its like it never fully disengages I feel the stack height is to tall

I assume you read this thread... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/747336.html

I am convinced that the stack height of the Barnett plate kit is to large and doesn't permit the clutch to fully disengage. Be sure you can disengage it before you try to start it.

I had the same setup. Barnett plates, springs and EBR Slave kit. I screwed up and did not count the plates coming off the bike. The last steel plate kinda hides in the housing. I took it apart twice before we figured it out. I mic'd the Barnett plates...all measured within tolerance. I decided to keep original springs in the system. All is well. I have minor issues trying to find neutral sometimes. Bike tech said I should have filed something on one of the plates.

Terp, do you have any more details on "filed something"?

Pwillikers...sorry, I have been away from the site for a few days. Regarding the "filed something"...no, I do not have any details. I may see my bike tech friend, this weekend. I will try to get some better details.
